Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Testing
Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is a test method, which can amplify DNA sequences that are specific for a certain organism so that it can be easily detected. With this technique, it is possible to achieve millions of copies in just a few hours. Genetic information is stored in the form of nucleic acid sequences (DNA) which are present in each cell in our body Once infected, our body fluids (blood, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, etc.) become contaminated with the pathogens DNA.
