AGE MANAGEMENT EVALUATION & DIAGNOSTIC TESTING
|
|
|
Laboratory
work for the Center for Clinical Age Management,
Inc is done through Kronos Science. Kronos Science Laboratory
is dedicated to providing the science behind Clinical Age Management.
To do so, they test over 150 individual biomarkers in blood,
urine and even patient drinking water, when necessary.
At the Center for Clinical Age Management
we measures oxidative stress (the damage caused by free radicals);
hormonal balance (a factor in many of the symptoms of aging);
cardiovascular risk (including the types and amounts of cholesterol
in your blood), cancer risk, liver function, renal function;
and a trace metal analysis.
The Kronos exclusive laboratory report uses "optimal ranges"
that have been developed by physicians and scientists at Kronos
based on a thorough review of scientific literature. These provide
a comparison that shows where patients stand in relation to
"healthy" values rather than normal or average values.
In addition, the laboratory reports present the information
in a color-coded, easy-to-understand format, rather than just
providing numbers.
The Kronos Science test panels provide a variety of options,
depending upon the needs of the patient, ranging from a complete
assessment of 150 biomarkers to separate panels focused on specific
interest areas. |

The
Kronos Health And Aging Evaluation
|
The
Kronos Health and Aging Evaluation is designed to provide
a thorough baseline assessment of the patient's health and
aging status and many of the basic profiles used to determine
risk of age-related diseases. It includes Chemistry Profile
24, CBC with Platelets and Auto Differential, Oxidative
Stress Assessment, Age-Related Hormone Assessment, Cardiovascular
Assessment, Thyroid Profile and Trace Metals and Macrominerals
Analysis.

Oxidative
Stress Panel
|
| Kronos
Science Laboratory has developed extremely accurate tests to
measure levels of free radicals and antioxidants in the body
and determine an individual's ability to cope with them. The
Kronos Oxidative Stress Protection Panel measures Albumin, Ascorbate,
Bilirubin, Coenzyme Q10, Iron Binding, Thiols, Tocopherols,
Total Carotenoids and Uric Acid. The Kronos Oxidative Stress
Damage Panel measures Ceruloplasmin, Copper, Ferritin, HgbA1c,
Glucose, Iron and Peroxides (aqueous). |
|
Age
Related Hormone Panel
|
| This
Kronos Science laboratory determines current hormonal levels
for both men and women, identifies deficiencies and helps a
physician prepare a hormone replacement therapy that fits the
patient's individual needs. The Kronos Age Related Hormone Panel
analyzes Cortisol, DHEA-Sulfate, Luteinizing Hormone (LH) and
Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), Estrogen, Estriol, Estrone,
Progesterone, Testosterone, Thyroid Hormone, IGF-1 and Insulin. |
|
Kronos
Thyroid Profile
|
| Excesses
or deficiencies in thyroid hormones are responsible for many
medical conditions and diseases. Kronos looks at all thyroid
hormones with prevention as a goal. Tests include T3 (Triiodothyronine),
T4 (Thyroxine), TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone), Free T3 and
Free T4. |
|
Cardiovascular
Assessment
|
|
Kronos' cardiovascular risk assessment represents a major step
forward in helping physicians direct the focus of their care
toward disease prevention and improvement of cardiovascular
health. The Kronos Cardiac Risk Panel tests Apolipoprotein B,
Homocysteine, C-reactive Protein (High Sensitive), Ferritin,
Iron, Hemoglobin A1c, LP(a) and Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity
(ORAC). The Kronos Cardiovascular Protection Panel measures
Apolipoprotein A1, Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Coenzyme Q10, Folic
Acid, Vitamin B12 and Iron binding. |
|
Cancer
Screening
|
| The
Cancer Screening is one of Kronos' primary disease prevention
tools. Kronos tests total prostate specific antigen (total PSA)
to determine the risk of prostate cancer in men. If the total
PSA result is greater than 4.0, a test of free PSA (PSA not
bound to specific blood serum proteins) is performed to further
evaluate the risk for prostate cancer. |
|
Liver
Function Panel
|
|
The Liver Function or Hepatic panel provides physicians a means
of evaluating the health and function of the liver. There are
five liver enzymes that give a precise measurement of liver
performance and condition- SGOT (aspartate aminotransferase),
SGPT (alanine aminotransferase), GGTP, LDH (Lactic Dehydrogenase)
and Alkaline Phosphatase. The Liver Function panel also surveys
the liver proteins that provide antioxidant and immune function
including Total Protein, Albumin, Globulin and Bilirubin (total,
direct and indirect). |
|
Renal
Function Panel
|
| The
Renal Function panel provides the physician with a general assessment
of how effectively the kidneys are working. This panel measures
values for BUN (Blood Urea Nitrogen) and Creatinine. Together,
these tests are accepted as an accurate index of renal function. |
|
Trace
Metal Analysis
|
|
Kronos' Trace Metal Analysis examines the effects of environmental
conditions on blood, urine and even drinking water to give the
physician a better overall understanding of patient status in
this vital area. Trace metals are harmful when present in excess,
although some (Zinc, Selenium, Molybdenum, Manganese and Copper)
require minimum levels for optimal health. Trace metals measured
in the blood, urine and drinking water include: Aluminum, Antimony,
Arsenic, Barium, Beryllium, Cadmium, Chromium, Cobalt, Copper,
Lead, Manganese, Mercury, Molybdenum, Nickel, Selenium, Strontium,
Thallium, Tin and Zinc. |

Sample
Patient Reports
|
At
the Center for Clinical Age Management we use laboratory
analysis reporting "optimal ranges". These provide
a comparison that shows where patients stand in relation
to "healthy" values rather than normal or average
values. In addition, the laboratory report presents the
information in a color-coded, easy-to-understand format,
rather than just providing numbers.
The
result of all of these component tests is an individualized
biochemical baseline for the patient. These figures are
compared to optimum levels for the physician to evaluate
their patient's current physical condition and progress
toward optimal health. Kronos physicians and scientists
have developed optimal ranges for each of the 150 biomarkers.
